Cardiac myxomas: characteristics and outcomes in a tertiary center

Abstract Introduction Cardiac myxoma (CM) is the most common primary cardiac tumour. It can manifest in a variety of clinical presentations or it be asymptomatic and, ultimately, detected with image techniques. The only successful treatment these tumours surgical excision, low complications and recurrence rate. Moderate severe ventricular inflow obstruction 13.1% (n=11), 13.6% mitral atrial 11.1% tricuspid myxomas. longer axis 40–59mm superior 60mm independently (OR 5.1, 95% CI 1.4–18.4, p0.014 OR 11.5, 2.9–45.4, p0.001, respectively). No other morphologic but 3 had surgically removed because advanced comorbidities (96.4% rate). There no in-hospital 1 year mortality patients.
